Commuters and small families alike will value its blend of premium features and everyday usability, especially for those navigating St. Louis winters or urban commutes. Discerning buyers who demand both refinement and flexible space will find that this model delivers a feature-rich value proposition, making it a compelling choice among compact SUVs.

On the road, the Escape Active’s 1.5L EcoBoost engine and 8-speed automatic transmission work in harmony to provide a smooth, quiet, and composed ride. Power delivery is tuned for effortless acceleration, letting drivers merge onto highways or glide through city streets without fuss. Engine and road noise are subdued, thanks to thoughtful sound insulation and a four-wheel independent suspension that absorbs imperfections for a serene cabin environment. The AWD system operates unobtrusively, enhancing confidence and traction in all weather while maintaining the SUV’s calm composure-ideal for both spirited drives and relaxed cruising.

Safety in this SUV is engineered to feel invisible yet reassuring, with advanced systems working quietly in the background to protect everyone on board. Features such as Blind Spot Monitoring, ABS brakes, electronic stability control, and traction control actively respond to changing road conditions, allowing drivers to focus on the journey. The exterior parking camera rear and fully automatic headlights provide extra confidence during nighttime drives and tight parking situations. Occupant-sensing airbags, dual front side impact airbags, and a knee airbag further enhance the sense of security, ensuring peace of mind without detracting from the vehicle’s refined experience.

Premium features inside the Escape Active include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a power driver seat-all combining to deliver a first-class comfort experience. The six-speaker AM/FM radio with SiriusXM capability, steering wheel mounted audio controls, and SYNC 4 911 Assist system ensure both entertainment and connectivity are always within easy reach. Automatic temperature control, front and rear reading lights, and a power liftgate add to the convenience, while thoughtful touches such as an overhead console, rear seat center armrest, and a split folding rear seat enhance the sense of tailored luxury throughout the cabin.

Among premium compact SUVs, the Escape Active stands out for its balance of tactile quality and acoustic refinement. Compared to the Toyota RAV4 XLE and Honda CR-V EX, this model emphasizes a quieter cabin and a more intuitive climate control system, heightening overall comfort.

What premium materials are found inside? The cabin features Unique Cloth Front Bucket Seats with a pleasing tactile feel, complemented by soft-touch surfaces and a thoughtfully designed dashboard. How quiet is the cabin? The Escape’s sound insulation and refined suspension deliver a notably hushed atmosphere, even at highway speeds.
