New 2026 Ford Maverick XLT in St. Louis, MO

The 2026 Ford Maverick XLT stands out among compact trucks like the Hyundai Santa Cruz and Chevrolet Colorado by combining an efficient EcoBoost 2.0L engine, all-wheel drive, and a versatile crew cab layout.

Shoppers cross-shopping the Maverick XLT against other compact trucks will find its blend of technology, comfort, and real-world utility ideal for both daily commutes and weekend hauling. With its Navy Pier/Aspen Gray interior, XLT Luxury Package, and advanced connectivity, it suits buyers who want a crew cab that’s both practical and modern. For residents in climates like St. Louis, MO, the all-wheel drive system ensures year-round confidence for changing weather, giving it an edge over trucks offering only rear-wheel drive at this price point.

While rivals such as the Santa Cruz may offer unique styling, the Maverick excels with its EcoBoost 2.0L I4 GTDi DOHC turbocharged engine paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. This combination delivers responsive acceleration, smooth shifts, and excellent traction for city driving, highway cruising, or light off-road tasks. Its 4K Tow Package and four-wheel independent suspension make it especially capable for small trailer towing or carrying gear, a capability often reserved for higher trims or as extra-cost options on competitors.

Active safety features are a clear strength for this truck. Standard Ford Co-Pilot360 includes automatic high-beam headlights, an exterior rear parking camera, and advanced stability control, offering enhanced driver awareness and peace of mind. Unlike some rivals where features like blind spot monitoring or emergency communication require upgrades, this Maverick provides SYNC 4 911 Assist and comprehensive airbag coverage as standard, helping ensure safety technology is accessible without hidden costs.

Convenience and comfort define the Maverick XLT’s package set. The XLT Luxury Package adds features like automatic temperature control and a power driver’s seat, while the Ford Connectivity Package enables 5G modem access for fast, reliable in-cab internet. Six speakers with SiriusXM 360L, remote keyless entry, and a security system round out the amenities, making this truck especially appealing for those who value both entertainment and utility in a single vehicle.
